THE CHRONICLES OF BELHELM
When peace broke,
the war began.
For fourteen centuries, the fragile peace held.
The powerful Dragon Kingdom to the west and the relentless Phoenix Clan to the east. Between them lay Belhelm, the great divide. A rich and fertile land, untouched by either crown, tempting both with everything it promised and everything it could cost.
Neither side dared claim it. Not because they lacked the strength, but because each feared the same thing: that their careful calculation of victory might be wrong. So Belhelm remained neutral.
But war never sleeps forever, and destiny has a way of tipping the scales. When the great quake shattered the western mountains, rivers changed course, fields withered, and desperately needed resources vanished almost overnight. The Dragon Kingdom began to starve.
War is never an easy decision. But desperation forces one’s hand.
Faced with the slow death of his people, the Dragon King made the impossible choice. His armies crossed into Belhelm. To the Dragons, it was survival. To the Phoenix Clan, it was an invasion.
Fourteen centuries of restraint collapsed beneath the weight of a single decision. Banners rose. Armies gathered. Kings and Queens called upon every piece of their kingdoms. And for the first time, the two great powers marched not toward just the borders of Belhelm, but toward each other.
If Chess was the skirmish.
Belhelm is the war.
